Thanks Ken
I assumed that unless you won the big one we would all pay upfront.

OK guys, the order is ready to go! The Alulas will be shipped first, then the Weasels soon after 20 July. I will be PM'ing or emailing you with the price of your selected items in $AU and will appreciate it if you can deposit the funds into my bank account using your name as a reference, so I know it's you who have paid and not someone else . I'm excited! Ken.

Thanks to everyone who is participating for sending your payments promptly. All have been received except one that's in the works. Our Alulas have shipped, so we should have them inside 2 weeks Ken.

Hi all,
Alulas have landed, and have already flown!
Nick grabbed his and drcuzo's from me on Saturday evening, and maidened his on Sunday. He inspired me to do likewise.
So we had the first 2 Alula Evo's in Oz flying together at Bald Knob, and we flew on nil wind with a Supergee and a Blaster high performance DLG. We outclimbed them more than once! The Alula Evo is definitely a better thermaller than the original. I would go so far as to recommend it as a first SAL/DLG (handlaunch) glider.
And the record from box to flight is 49 minutes!
It speeds up well and holds energy better than the original too so it looks like a truly great light wind sloper as well - we'll see.
All that said, and please do get the message that I'm thrilled with the plane, my Alula flying for the day ended with a broken off nose.
Here is part of a post I sent to Hutton about his forthcoming Alula, in response to a question about nose breakages being reported on rcgroups:
I did break the nose off my Alula by launching very hard a number of times. I wrote to Michael at Dream Flight and sent pictures. His response is that I needed to follow the instructions and tape the belly skid to the fuse all around its perimeter, with the supplied tape. I accept his advice - I hadn't already done so because my receiver protrudes from the bottom of the fuse and prevents taping the whole skid. So I will need to find an alternative solution and I expect I'll use carbon longerons down each side of the fuse from about the TE forward.
I am not in the slightest put off by this 'airframe failure'. The Alula is a beaut flier and I am too strong and with too little technique for my own good!
So I'm thrilled with my newest plane! I hope we see lots more of them!
Ken.

Hi Guys,
the Weasels have been delayed a second time by Dream Flight, because of manufacturing problems apparently.
They have always given good service, so I'm sure they will get the planes to us as quickly as possible. However they are also happy to change any existing orders. Our position is a little awkward because of sharing the freight costs. So if it's OK please hang in and let's see what unfolds over the next few weeks. If you are concerned then please contact me and we'll work something out.
Ken.

Hi cdsloper,
not this time I'm afraid. The box of Weasels that is still to come is full, I've already asked.
There's nothing to stop you or anyone else doing another group buy though! Michael can ship up to 6 Alulas in a box, and up to 4 Weasels.
Go Great!
Ken.

That's ok; ta for quick reply.
Wasn't financial at the time; not now either but they look like an absolute S load of fun.
Don't know that I'll be able to organise a group buy. I'm currently not working and I don't think centerlink would appreciate the funds going through my account. However, I'll put it out there that I'm interested in one and I guess if there's enough other interest then we should do something.

Hi guys, Dream-Flight's website now says that Weasels are expected in late September/ early October. I read that as early to mid October . If you want to cancel your order just let me know, it's no problem at all. I'd recommend hanging on just a little longer though if you can. Ken.
