well what can i say but andrew is a great writer i think he has missed his calling, he should have been a journo thank you so much for your help and your logical thinking to check the closer ridge, it disappeared out of site behind the ridge but it was so low it was the first ridge not the second. For someone to give up so much time on a work day is really incrediable, thanks mate, i owe you. as andrew can paint a picture of the place really well i will give you pictures of the plane the main damage is just rips into the leading edge and for everyone who is wondering what caused the crash, well i dont know, i think we would need a black box recovery team to work this one out,i pluged the battery in and everything worked fine. i have had trouble with this transmitter before, i have lost control of a few planes and im really starting to wonder how good the 9x2 with the spektrum module is? ?? what do you guys out there think? would the d9x or what ever it's called be any better, as it doesn't have the module pluged in the back, it's all built in! im happy to have the faser back and even luckier that the fuse and tail is fine, we all couldn't believe how undamaged she is, now i will have to get some professional advice on this type of repair as i only have fiberglass knowledge. this is me now ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D i never thought i would be so happy holding a mashed up glider take care regards nick

Well the sound that it made when it went down does not resemble that. Really happy for you Nick that you got it back.
For that radio EBAY is the place (as you said on sunday) or out the window of your car ;D

All i can say is ''WOW'' Nick When i was down in that lantana getting my plane the bevo, It sounded like a bomb went down it was that load. I could hear what sounded like a Fazer going down and getting trashed by the trees and not to mention the lantana. That is a true miracle that the plane survived that sort of landing/onslaught to only have that minimal damage All i can say is "WOW" ;D

FANTASTIC news Nick. I'm really happy for you. Great work Andrew, and thanks for the report. Hard to believe it sustained so little damage, it was really moving when it went in.

thanks sean yeh bloody oath, it was hammering in hey? loud sound but a good result, if it didn't hit the edge of that tree it would have been in a million bits , but it's all good, i just need time to get in the shed, and as you know strawberry season is busy, after 11 hours today i dont really feel too much like going into the shed. i need some motivation, maybe i need to buy a slab of rum and coke and put it in the shed fridge lol, sound like a piss head hey? i suppose i still have heaps of other planes so i will still get my fix, see ya soon regards nick

Great news.
The uniformity of those slashes into the LE is amazing.

Glad to see you got her back Nick, a bit of work and I'm sure you'll have her back in the air soon. Some of the adventure stories we have on this forum are great. Andrew I'm sure you could write a book or a short novel , you could start up a slope gliding reader's digest ;D. Your story had me hooked, the only thing missing was a few brown snakes - Indiana Jones style. In all seriousness you have contributed a lot to this forum and have helped out a lot of guys, we all appreciate it. Gerard
