Hi Guys Yep, there is still a few things to be done, so only Test Post for me at this stage, i'd like to have it completely done before moving over to it, plus the OK from Andrew and Gerard. I'll get back to you with minor updates to it and hopefully we can run it live very soon.
Andrew, as for the posting, i'm using firefox and safari and it seems to post ok, I havent tested it with IE at this stage. Maybe a small network lag or something minor.

I'm using Firefox. It all seems to be working well. I've uploaded an Avatar and created a new thread. It seems very good.
Steve I think I'll add the General Chat threads for Flying Plans and Flying Reports. If there are good ones we can immortalize them in your Reports section from the top menu.

Steve how do we add a new section under "General", eg you have "Info for Novices". I'd like to add "General Chat" and have the plans and reports chit-chat threads in there A

Steve, Portfox. Firstly, thank you for your very generous offer to refurbish this site, I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated by all "sockers" Just a suggestion, The intro to this site and particularly if you Google it says,"A site dedicated to EPP slope soaring." Though this was what the site originally started out as, it seems that most members and therefore the site have evolved beyond EPP, with full house thermal soarers, moulded (crunchy) slopies, DLG's and now some serious kick ass DSers being designed and built. Probably the only aspects of RC soaring not featured by this site at present are, electric assist and aero tow, though I'm sure we'll soon see some regular aero tow posts now you are in Toowoomba. So like I said, an intro change to something like," A site dedicated to all forms of RC soaring in SE Qld and Northern NSW." Again, just a suggestion.

I'm rather disappointed that we cannot post any pictures, photos or drawings on the new site.
All that appears is a link.

I'm rather disappointed that we cannot post any pictures, photos or drawings on the new site. All that appears is a link. Steve has been working on a number of issues including this. I should make a point of thanking Steve for his time & effort. If you checkout the following link you can see that it's in progress: windsock.portfoxdesign.net/index.php?option=com_ccboard&view=postlist&forum=10&topic=7&Itemid=2#ccbp20Please remember that we are in the 'testing phase', making sure that it runs the way that we want it to, this may take a few weeks. Graeme I had no problems uploading a couple of photos into a post on the new site. Do you mean problems uploading into the forum threads or onto the pages of the main site itself?

I went back to the new Windsock forum just now and I must say that I was very pleased with what I saw.
Thumbnails of the images posted now appear where before there were paper clips pointing to links.
Thank you Steve. This will make a huge difference. People will be able to locate what they want to see much easier.
I'm looking forward to the change over. The new set-up seems very user friendly.

Hi all, This Sunday (14th March), the new Windsock site will replace the old Windsock site and forum. This process will take place throughout the day. You will no longer be able to post to the old Windsock forum from 6pm Sunday 14th of March. However you will still be able view all of your favourite stories and reports from the new site. So go to www.windsock.net.au this Sunday and sign-up to the new Windsock site. If you have any difficulties in viewing the new site on Sunday, just try again later. Cheers, Gerard Cosgrove Windsock
