Sometimes your expectations are too high I guess - on the drive down it was absolutely blowing a gale, I really thought we were going to get a site record, but then at Lemontree the wind was quite mild.
It's always fun though, hard to believe going in circles is so addictive.
One (more) scary incident from the day - the DS circuit the Erwin is flying in the video had you looking at the sun in the top turn, so you'd have to fly under it each lap to see the plane. On one lap I came out too high and lost it in the sun for a good 3 or more seconds, which feels like an eternity! Before you see it again you're preparing yourself for the crunch!

Sounds like you guys have all the fun, where abouts is Lemon tree. A mate of mine owns property not far from the winery going up the hill from dayboro. S

Your mate doesn't happen to own the property with the big saddleback between two massive hills does he? We keep looking up at this site and wonder if it is as good as it looks. It would be a mission just to get there I reckon.

Nah I know where Steve's mate's place is - different spot.
Steve since it's a private property I can never put directions etc on the net. They allow us into the paddock but it's limited approval.

Andy No probs, if i went out there it would be with you anyway, i was just wondering where it was in relation to my mates place. I have permission to fly further up the hill, but its a SW facing hill, not really adequate only in winter. I have a couple of spots to check up on out that way, but have to wait until i can get out there with my mate and he will introduce me to the owner that has all the good looking hills ;-) S

Sounds promising Portfox. There are some sweet looking slopes out that way. Knowing the landowner makes all the difference.
