Sailplane Expo is on again. January 24 to 26, 2009 at Armidale, in the beautiful New England tablelands of NSW.
Events will be Thermal Duration (Open and RES), Electric (Open and Limited) and Hand Launched glider.
The guest of honor (and seminar speaker) will be Mike O'Rielly.
I have created a forum
www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=922988
to provide event details and most importantly the frequency allocation for Thermal and Electric Glider.
I look forward to helping you with any enquiries you might have and meeting you again for a fun weekend of flying and socialising over the Australia Day weeked next January.
There is a zipped xls file for you to provide Entry details and email back to me (address on the form) on the RC Groups link. Just attach the unzipped file to your email (can't post xls files here).
We intend to allow a maximum of 4 fliers / frequency in Thermal and Electric Glider (which will be flown concurrently). This will allow more flyers in the same slots, and make for a more balanced competition.
We anticipate that the first 4 entrants / frequency will automatically get their preferred allocation. After that it may be necessary to use your alternate.
To manage the frequency allocations I will make up an entry list with frequencies and post it here and at the link above. You then can see your frequency before you come to the event and if necessary have an opportunity to change frequency and test under more controlled (and relaxed) conditions.
Entries are now open. Look forward to seeing you in Armidale on the Australia Day weekend, 2009.
Hutton
PS is there a way I can put an attachment with the Entry Form up in this thread?
