Thanks, interesting info.
With a wingspan of 2m, the wing has to be removable. That rules out the glues etc. I'll start off with the wooden bolts/dowel and see how it goes.

Shear pins are a readily available option, however having an attractive fastening system would be an effort on top of that.
The Nylon Bolt/Nut is going to do the fastening job and the shear pins will double as locating pins and shear IF the load is too much for the job.
Best of both worlds (If you can get shear pins with a low enough shearing point)
You might have to use Wooden pins or some other material that you can backyard rig to test the breaking point under load...
