like building all planes, the hardest bit is the colour scheme. i'm sure i'll come up with something. i can't wait till it's built though. i just want something faster and more aerobatic than the bee. i'm definately still going to keep the bee, especially for combat, and that plane that i don't mind flogging about when i knock callun out of the sky at SC.

I'd sure be interested to see how quick that plane is. If it's as quick as it looks, you may find it's a bit of a handful to fly - don't fly without assistance, and probably not really suitable for SC.

Just to cap off my story about the dramas, after getting the 86MG servos rebuilt, wired up and glued back in place I checked all the other wiring and put the switch socket and alarm back in with hot glue etc, turned it on, and next thing there's a smell of burning plastic and the battery was just about smoking! Something was again shortcircuited! Had to cut the wires very quickly.
I was paranoid that it might have wrecked the servos again. But they were OK. So I replaced the switch socket and associated wiring! What a day .... !

apparently there is 1 or 2 people who fly the Aermacchi at SC. and apparently it's a very good light wind plane. a few of the guys were trying to convince me to bring it along when i get it going...

As a mark of respect I'm posting this pic of the dead Drongo. It put up a vital fight but couldn't withstand a 78mph impact with a big solid tree branch in a too-deep bottom turn. I bought the dead body back home and since it had registered as an organ donor, have removed body vital parts to be transplanted into other needy planes. Then I gave it a ceremonial burial in the trailer with the other rubbish to go to the dump!

It died an honourable death, doing what it loved doing....

Glenn I'll send a PM to you. I should add that the night before the tragedy I was on the phone to Glenn crowing about how brilliantly the Drongo had just been flying. (sob, ...)
