Nice Job Sean. That didn't take long.
Your Reaper is sweet. If you look, the fuse is quite a bit smaller and pointy than the Bird's. It probably has less drag. This may help it cut through the bumpy air. At high speeds I think epp has a harder time and I reckon you will be surprised how slippery the Bird will feel, when you get a good day.
I wonder if mouldies have lighter tips, relative to overall weight, when compared to foamies, due to the hollow wings? Maybe this would cause the plane to be thrown around more. I find even my 3m ship gets thrown around quite a bit.
How were the landings today Sean? Loving the flaps?

That X tail Bird is so nice! I would love one too. It wouldn't be too much extra work to modify a V tail Bird I reckon. The biggest problem is you'd need to buy an extra tail or make your own fin. A T-tail with the elev servo in the fin would be pretty awesome too! Even from today at low DS speeds I could see the extra speed potential this plane has, very exciting! I'm considering trying a more forward CG to see how it affects stability in turbulence. Could slow it down I guess but can't hurt to try. Landings were good today, there is no easier place to land than Bald Knob! I was nervous though and took no risks - flew up to the top of the hill where it's wide and flat with long grass. There's a couple of old fence posts up there so I stood next to them to make sure they didn't jump out! The crow and flaps worked a treat, brought it in nice and slowly with plenty of control. The biggest concern today was radio interference from the towers... on one occasion I was flying slow and close and heard a servo move but hadn'tmoved the sticks . Must have been very slight becasue I didn't notice the plane change course...
