Maidened D40 yesterday. Fun little plane. Flew straight out of my hand with no clicks of trim required. 4mm of up ail and 2mm of down ail felt nice on the front. Not too touchy. However too sensitive for ds. Started with 3mm up and down elevator but increased a little to get a sharper turn. It would start to drop a wing with full throw but I figure this will be handy when ds'ing faster. I dropped the full length ailerons as much as they will go, and added about 0.5mm of down trim. Not as good as crow on a 3m but a heck of alot better than landing a plank. I need to work on differential which I'll do tomorrow. Did a few laps and it has a really nice whistle. AUW 550grams(19.5oz) I can get another 350 grams(12.5oz), in fuse, thanks to two tungsten slugs. I am going to try and fit a couple of raised covers from Sporter. I have some bulgy covers off of an old Fling DL but they are a little too bulgy I think. Editing up a little video of maiden, should be up by the morning. More to come........ Eric P.S. Posting photos here is too hard for my brain. There are a couple I posted over in the D40 build thread of RCG. Just of how I did the aileron horn/link.

Looks like a quick little plane Ezza, I like the colours. Can't believe that D60s don't fit completely in the wing!!!

It is a magic looking little plane. A perfect shrunk down version. It is going to be hard to keep up with, in respect to seeing it and matching it's speed. It will be interesting to see if it is better suited to the smaller DS spots or if it will still need room to stretch it's little legs.

Wow that looks quick on the frontside, and it has a great 'mouldie whistle' on the backside.
Do you like the way it flies?
Ken.

You get them from Joe Manor on RCG. $300 US. Postage for 5 was just over $50US. There is a new 4 servo version coming out in about 4 weeks. Send him a PM if you want to get one.
Flew mine yesterday. Lennox heads, 12-15knot easterly. Could have done with more wind but it was still amazing. Huge halfpipes and scary ds. Makes the best sound. ;D
