WOW Steve!! The big Erwin has the same sexy look as the 2m version. Can't wait to see it or hear of the flight report. Don't be nervous about the build. Take your time. Easier than foam, and more accurate because you are working with solid surfaces. Eric

WOW!!! That thing is going to look and sound amazing in the air!!! Sorry to hear about the grief with customs but glad to see it arrived in one piece. You have the skills to do a perfect build on it, as Ezza says take your time. I recommend buying a dremel if you don't already own one - I couldn't believe how much use my Dremel got while I built my 2M Erwin. Sean.

Looks great. Make sure you take more pics and detail your build. Will be interesting to see what else is different from the 2m version. The wing mounting and two piece fuse is different to anything I have seen before, the rest is not much different from other models but most reports suggest they are great to fly.
I have ordered two of the smaller erwins, first one arrived and is heading north.

Hey Steve, how is the Erwin XL going? Any progress? I am itching to hear how it goes when you get it airborne. We raved about Sean's Erwin when it was new, and we have to acknowledge that it's really stood the test of time. Still looks and flies like new. The guy who makes them (Podvin of CCM) has used quite different techniques to hollow shell moldies, and it really seems to have paid off. Super strong, super fast. I reckon the Erwin deserves some sort of award. Can't wait to see how the XL goes.
