Just got a preview of Pete's (Wowings) new prototype called the Yank. This is the first dunger version made up from scrap. He is hot wire cutting the nose in oval sections - looks narrow and nice. I'd be putting some fibreglass stringers alongside the fuse to give it some doink resistance. Wing has an 8mm carbon tube spar. Last weekend Pete guessed the CG and threw it off and with a few trim clicks it flew beautifully. Rough and ready first test version and will no doubt get tweaked and refined but Pete's very enthusiastic about its nice habits and good performance. I think the fat chord would make it pretty user friendly. Takes standard sized servos. He's planning to make a wider centre fixed elevon section. I reckon it's a nice poser plane for SC and am keen to have a crack at one!

Yes it will be a kit, but it's early days yet - no news on price etc yet.
