With the fleagle and beevo nearing completion (just waiting on some laminate film) I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with a Wild Wing? Heard a bit about it and wondering on it’s performance.

Well bit the bullet and got myself one…..easiest build I have ever done and took all of about 2hrs. deviated a little from the instructions. Added a 4mm FG spar across the centre of the wing in the radio bay adding a lot of strength (the radio bay in this wing is HUUUGE as it’s meant for electric power). Used park size servos over micro for a little more survivability. Reshaped the elevons and fins. Slapped some scrap profilm on I had and added a canopy out of a plastic bottle. Think the little beast looks great! HERE IT IS ON TOP OF MY NEW BEEVO BUILD (fleagle build in the background): i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk209/14FELIX2/100_2341.jpg THE LITTLE WING NEARLY FINISHED: i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk209/14FELIX2/100_2343.jpg

Thanks Andrew, think she looks great and should be a great little aerobat. just finished programming it in to the TX and that took nearly as long as the build LOL. I’ve got a long way to go as far as programming goes but am looking forward to the possibilities. Also took the time to clean up all the rough edges from my quick build and put some electrical tape around the leading edges. AUW is 420grams,CG at 8inches and huge throws with plenty of expo….looking forward to the maiden tomorrow

Well the maiden flights at SC yesterday was a great success and I had a ball! Great aerobatics, fast enough to be fun, turns in it’s on length, surprisingly stable for a tiny wing and can definitely hold its own in combat. Basically a great wing ;D Pity that after a couple of hours of combat my profilm covering job had just about stripped itself off! So last night I spent an hour or so recovering in 80micron laminate. The weight gain (now 470grams) is not a problem as I was carrying a lot of extra ballast yesterday. Here is the pic (is now actually a very dark grey now rather then silver) i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk209/14FELIX2/100_2346.jpg

Yeah mate been pretty busy lately but not getting a great deal of building or flying in unfortunately. Good news is the time I do find I am making it count lol. Plan to have the fleagle finished by the weekend hopefully. Currently the airframe is ready for covering and I have the laminate coloured, cut to size and 3m’d the whole lot. Should have the fuse painted and the covering done tomorrow night. Have to get yourself to sc sometime so I can have a fly of your hawk (heard she’s quite the flyer)
