I'm finally getting going again on my Orbus. All I did months ago was to glue the carbon ribbons in. But at last I got the box out, and had a look through the items, then wanted to browse the instructions. There's no printed instructions, just a DVD. It won't play on my Vista, has no sound on XP, works on the DVD player and TV except for pixellation, then stops, and started then quit (and won't restart) on Mac OSX. So I posted on RCGroups, and am getting some advice from Paige about how to proceed. www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10830365

My Vista won't recognise the files at the operating system level. Already have VLC, Real, and others. But can't access the disc at all on Vista. On XP the operating system can see the 2 folders, one video and the other audio, which DVD movies usually have. But XP can't see any files in the audio folder. The disc was created on Mac OSX in USA, but my OSX behaved as though it's a damaged disc, and so does my TV DVD player.

PIJ
I got an instructional video with the Raptor from Paige - I had no problems playing it. Paige is a good bloke I would ask him to send you a replacement DVD.
Good Luck Steve

Yes, Steve, he certainly is helpful. I have the bad feeling my disk was OK but all my players were faulty - though applying Occam's Razor to this line of reasoning would tell me it should be the disc. Paige has already said he'll send another disc. I have the printed instructions from the Raptor, my own ideas on how I was intending to proceed, and Paige giving help where necessary on RCGroups - so I'm making a start on the Orbus even while i wait for the disc.
When I first received the Orbus I noticed the left and right wings differed in leading edge profile. Paige immediately sent me anther pair - this time with no sanding done on the LE - but unfortunately they still had different LE profiles. I assume the profile guides he cuts from weren't perfectly matched. But the point is, Paige helps in any way he can, even beyond the level of fair backup and support for his goods.
