This arvo I "maidened" the Miraj that I bought from Portfox. Over the past few days I've been fiddling with it, adjusting linkages, tightening things up, etc. The Miraj has a 3 piece wing with one big flap right across the centre section, so you only use one flap servo. I cut a U section out of the back of the flap, to get it to drop far enough to have an air-brake effect.
I finally threw it off this afternoon at Pedwell Rd. The wind was a bit too south I think, so it wasn't great lift on the slope.
Quick summary ... I think the Miraj is probably the best sloper I've flown yet. It was incredibly good to fly. It's really fast, but is quiet as the wings are foam cored, not hollow. Had a light feel to it, tracked like it was on rails, and did hard turns faster than anything else I've flown. Camber is really effective - it really climbs out. Nice rudder authority too - it kicks over in stall turns nicely.

Yeah, it's as good as I'd expected Steve. I'm going to re-fit the servos etc so that I can get ballast into it. Thanks!
