Ok it seems that my batteries in my gliders aren't holding there charge so it is time to upgrade my charger. I have been using the charger that came with my controller and well it is not up to the job. So what is the best or what do people use. I plan to have eneloop batteries in most gliders.also where is the best place to get them. Have been buying a bit from Hobby city

John - firstly check that it's the charging, not the batteries. Maybe charge with someone else's charger. If the batteries still lose charge, then suspect the batteries. Batteries do get sick and sick batteries are the last thing you want in a plane!
If your charger is the wall plug type, all it does is feed a low current in continuously, which is really basic. The most commonly used "decent" charger is the Swallow. Main features are peak charging, where it switches off when the battery voltage stops increasing during charge. You can charge at a faster rate, more safely this way. Also the good chargers show you how much charge has gone into the battery, the voltage during charge, etc. You can get them to "cycle" which means they discharge and recharge. This is more important for nicads, but even for Nimh's it's useful as you can completely discharge and recharge and look at the milliamps it took to charge it, which gives you an idea of the health of the battery.
I think there are good chargers on Hobby City which do as much as the Swallow. It's worth getting one that can be used from both 240V AC and 12vDC.
