Well we have just returned from a flying visit to Gayndah 3 1/2 hr NW of Brisbane as we are looking at property out there and well just in town there is a little mountain with a lookout called Mt Archer. maps.google.com.au/maps?ie=UTF8&hl=en&ll=-25.632415,151.611629&spn=0.002191,0.004812&t=h&z=18 we drove up there in the morning and well it would be perfect for gliding but at that stage no wind. During the day the wind increased to about 10-15knts so was eager to throw the bee but by the time I got back up there wind had dropped to below 5knts. but real potential. there are heaps of area that would be great for thermalling. The property we looked at backs onto the burnett river and has a nice bank that could become a slope gliding site. We talked to a local there who saild there is a group of guys who are into gliding but he didnt know all the details. We will be hopefully moving out there towards the end of the year if we can sell our house. will try and download some photos of the hill
