howdy let me say right from the start anyone is welcome to come to the strawberry farm winching, if you have a winch or not, if you don't just make sure you contact someone who has one before coming! sorry bungee guys but you can't use a bungee here as it could end up all over the berries or in the drink but that doesn't stop you from using a winch. it's at wamuran most Mondays or any day if you like, all you have to do is let me know you are coming and all is sweet. most of the local guys have my phone number but if you don't just pm me and i will get back to you. this is ken and Jeff just about to make the first launch at the new spot and away we go the first day was not last Monday but the one before, very cloudy and not much lift but the boys had a great time and came again last Monday, it was real windy but some lift about the boys both got real close on thier first landings in an unfamiliar spot the area is large enough but it needs a little work this summer, slashing, fertilizing, and just a bit of leveling, I'm sure if you call ken or Jeff they can tell you thier thoughts ALL WELCOME regards nick

LOVE MY NEW BLASTER!!!!! I had the best day's flying today . DLG's are just AWESOME fun. I'm thrilled with the Blaster. It flies great. It handles really sweetly. Very importantly, and I know this is a question for more than a few guys, IT'S ROBUST!! (for a DLG) . I caught it by the LE several times. It hit my leg. As the photos show I dorked it in. It has no damage at all. As you probably know it's also rudderless. That means more robust, simpler and potentially lighter although mine isn't. It handles really really well and it performs pretty much the same as the ruddered Blaster Garth was flying. A bonus is that I flew for well over 2 hours today and put only 240mAH back into my 4 cell 350mAH pack. The gear is 2 D47's in the wings and an HS65HB for elevator, with a Futaba 6106HS FASST receiver (2.4GHz). The analog servos are performing perfectly BTW. I bought 2 battery packs so I can change them over during a long day's flying. I guess you can say I now have a receiver battery pack for sale . If you're interested at all in gliding I can only recommend you take a look at DLG flying. I've flown mine on the flat and at Bald Knob and had a great time in both modes. The Blaster is terrific and it's available in Aus from Dave Pratley - he supports his products very well. Another option is the predator DLG (see rcgroups) which looks the goods at lower cost and there'll be at least one around soon to be checked out. As a third option Garth says he's bringing in a few Binary 900 mini-DLG's. I saw his briefly today and it looks great, lots of fun potential in a small and VERY easily launched package. It flies better than it swims though, hey Garth? Oh, and if anyone who runs thermal glider comps is listening, you DEFINITELY want to drag Garth along to the next one. He's flying his Tragi 705 really well. I've never seen anyone more ready for the challenge and the fun of comp flying. Go Great! Ken.

Oh, Jeff was flying his Monny hotliner. He done good! It went at least a million miles an hour .

Nice pics Garth, and thanks for the reports. I should be able to make it out next week and hopefully a bit more regularly after that.
Glad to hear the Blaster is flying well Ken. I got to fly my Supergee a bit more down at mum and dad's last week. It seems to fly very well. I'm using a Spektrum 6250 and so far it's been rock solid. Didn't have very good thermal conditions but flew it in dead air near dusk a number of times to trim it out and get a bit better at throwing. Probably put about two hours on it and the only thing I can complain about is my throw!
Sean.
