Hi all, i had my first 2 days of slope soaring last weekend and it was awesome, love it. I have a Fusion EPP made by Foamworks. Its a 51 in wingspan and is the first glider i have owned. nz.youtube.com/watch?v=fGXjUuN-Nvk

Welcome aboard!
Where in NZ do you fly? NZ would have some great locations for sloping.

I think the Fusion looks great. I would have considered it for my first slope glider, but the bit on the website, "Note - kits shipped outside New Zealand do not include the 3M Super 77 spray adhesive due to postal regulations.," put me off when I found the missing spray would cost me an extra $35 locally!

Pij, it shouldn't cost that much. Stationery suppliers, newsagents etc can order it in and it should cost $20 - 22. Similar at Officeworks. Remember that 3M Multipurpose is the same thing. It goes by both names over here. No other spray adhesives are anywhere near as good for foamies.

When I was building my Duck, that spray was almost the most expensive single item. Add to the price, all the driving I did all over the place trying to find it. Only one hardware store, had only one can, for $35. I must have a look at Officeworks - never thought of that. I'm still using that first can though - A little goes a long way.
I think I heard recently of another name-change for the spray too, or maybe just a packaging change.

Thanks for that Jeff. $24 from Officeworks is way better value, but www.airsportsrc.com.au has the larger can, like I got, for a lower price. So if building a new foamy using the spray'n'tape method, I'd certainly give www.airsportsrc.com.au a go. But regarding getting a glider from NZ: if they are going to omit $24 worth of spray, couldn't they omit $24 worth of price too?

That looks lovely! I like the idea of a swept-wing (almost like a combat chevron wing) with fuse forward and tail behind.

If anyone is looking for super 77 in the sunshine coast, there is a guy in Maroochydore who sells it for about $23 for a 500ml can I think he is called all abrasives I can find out and get a number if anyone is interested.
