Hi all, Andy put me on to this new spot at Raynbird Rd, and its pretty good. Not the biggest slope and doesnt compare to Mt Mee, but for a local spot that is 10 minutes for me its excellent. The place takes a NNE- NE wind, and you guys who DS may be able to get some done on the slope in front of this hill in a SE wind. Andy is checking it out today if it stops raining. Any way here is a youtube vid of the place, stepp up in the vid and Paul(slopefun) was the camera man. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXryh87xNq4&fmt=18

Have driven past there hundreds of times and never thought about it. looks like a great place to learn as heaps of room and fairly soft landings. Will try and give it a go this weekend for the queen bee

Yes, i ended up ripping the one of the flap horn out on that landing, missed the soft spot completely. There is alot of garbage up there, maccas packets, broken glass, just take a good pair of shoes. I have my trusty qld saftey boots on and kept having to watch where i was walking.

I packed some planes and was going to head over there after some work at Narangba, but the rain came back and the wind stopped. So I didn't go. Forecast looks pretty terrible for flying for the next few days, too.
