Thanks Nick, nice pics. No pictures of Orca's up trees? ;D ;D.
Michael, Ezza and Brian were a tough trio to compete with. After seven rounds only a few points separated the three. It was a pleasure to watch Michael's flying, he always looked in complete control of the situation.
Ezza is an absolute natural... for someone who never practices thermal flying (except at comps) to come second to last year's Milang winner by only a few points is a huge achievement. The only way for Ezza is up.
You don't want to be in a heat with Brian. I got a 10:01 and 98 one heat and came second to him!!!!
Huge thanks to the guys who helped get my Orca down from the top of a tree completely undamaged. Luck was really on my side for that one!
Sean.

Aaaaaaah, great pics, thanks for the reports guys. Makes me even wish more I'd been there. But it was my disabled daughter Sarah's 21st, which was an important family do. I distinguished myself by doing almost nothing to help my poor wife prepare for the party, but at least I was there and not in Lismore so there's gotta be a brownie point in there somewhere.
Sean you were sooooo lucky with that tree landing! All it has to do is flop off the tree onto a wingtip and you have one helluva mess to fix! Someone's looking after you! (or maybe it's reverse Karma after your less lucky episodes!).
Jeeez Ezza, you never cease to amaze us. Sorry he pipped you Brian!
For some reason I thought X Pro's were all V-tails. Photos show otherwise.

thevon, never unhappy about being beaten by great pilots, who are also great guys. They deserved it, they flew better. Sean was lucky (got his plane back) and unlucky (he should have been in the top 3)

Regarding that cloud phenomena, we all got to see something quite unusual. A Punch Hole Cloud. There are some bizarre theories as to how they form (from aliens to secret ioniser machines) but I like this one. apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap040112.htmlI think Lismore was worth the trip just to see one

Great photos guys. Thanks for posting them.
Tim showed me that cloud formation the other day. Cool to see it again(with descriptions).
The photo of Seans' Orca in the tree really shows just how high it was. Sheez!! Amazing to get it down undamaged.
Great to relive some of the fantastic weekend.
Eric (looking forward to Bundy)
