Wow what a great day for flying! Man did i cop it when i got home from Lea for my nice red tan lines! Sunburn was the winner today - sombrero & suncream next time honey!
Not perfect weather as no wind in the morning but arrived in time for lunch. Great strong thermals near the western tree line. Nick, Jeff, Ken, Mike and Dave all had great launches and recorded some great flight times.
I'm slowly coming to terms with these beautiful, big planes as they fly so well and i would like to thank Nick, Jeff, Ken and Mikey for giving me a hand with launching and thermaling as i still have a lot to learn and can't wait for my first comp. Trying to give my Blaster heaps on launch - seems to be holding up to the task. Can't wait to see more DLG's in the air.
All planes went home unscathed - always a good day. A special thanks to Nick for a really nice spot.
hope to see you all out someday soon

Gotta agree....was a good day to see how the winchers do it. Will admit that the winch gave a higher launch than my bungee, tho a lot more stressful on my nerves and the plane. Thankfully with a great launch (with Ken and Jeff's help), I hooked a cracker from launch and broke 20min...only to be pipped by Garth by about 45sec...but he did it harder. Jeff had an amazing flight, down to landing height a couple of times, but climbed out for what I think was a 20+min flight too. Thanks again to all for the use of the winches...and Nick for the use of the farm.

no worries guys any time and don't forget how the woodies go, ha ha ha ken had a swim rescuing someones plane, George had a home made electric that was fun to fly and thanks for letting me use your winches Dave, ken, and Jeff. next time fly Greg, the water was a bit daunting for Greg as he said his planes are drawn to water and im sure mike had his plane too close for comfort many times to the trees, ken stayed well clear. i had a fly of Garth's blaster and man it was fun, it's ureal how high you can launch them, thanks Garth, and Jeff, always thanks go to you for helping everyone and for the use of your winches. sorry no photos as too much flying i hope to see you all again as it was great fun all welcome regards nick
