Hi all,
Just wanted to share with you all my love of DLG's. After a long wet windy winter and watching Paul's new DLG DVD over and over again I got to get out today and have a chuck. The weather was great, 20 degree's and just the slight breeze and thermals where few and far between (but thats what I love, you have to hunt hard and work hard to stay up). Sorry I don't have any pix as it's way to hard to fly and snap afew off.
Anyone else out there got it bad for DLG's too?
Can I get an Amen.....

Great to see more people are getting DLG's. Good to see Ken's Blaster is in the air. Hope to see Sean's new Dlg out soon. I get my new Binary 900 www.peak-hobby.com/main/home/main.php this week so ill have some pixs by the weekend. There should be a list of Dlg's on this site so we know how's flying what plane and share setups for others. Cheers Garth

I'm new to DLGs but agree it's great fun. Sounds like Garth is well and truly bitten by the DLG bug.
Looking forward to catching a few thermals with my Supergee soon. Hoping the wind dies down this week so I can try throwing it around mum and dad's paddock. I haven't taken a pic of it yet but will post one when I do.
Sean.

Yes Gath there is afew of us down here and every now and then there is a mini comp to go fly at but the weather is far for ideal for DLG comps and you end up getting blown down wind really quickly and have a hard time getting back. Where is Camp Hill?

Graeme, the wings on the right look like the ones on the Electrafun that I learnt to fly on. Garth and I also live in/near Camp Hill like you...and fly for fun. you should join us sometime. Mike

I fly strictly for my own amusement. I do not chase trophies. I get my kicks from designing, building and flying my own models. As such they cannot compete with the commercial ARTFS that you see in the shops. Here is a DHLG and a HLG I made. They can both catch thermals and have provided me with many hours of fun. Graeme, the wings on the right look like the ones on the Electrafun that I learnt to fly on. Garth and I also live in/near Camp Hill like you...and fly for fun. you should join us sometime. Mike Thanks Mike. I will. I love flying. Yes, the HLG has Electrafun wings. The DLG wings were my first attempt at vacuum bagging. The booms on both models are pieces of fishing rod and the tailplanes are balsa sheet. The HLG has a balsa nose. The nose on the DLG is a piece of heat shrink tubing. The sort that you use to cover battery packs. I shrunk it to shape over a pine blank. My airframes rarely cost me over twenty dollars. I have a stack of odds and ends that I improvise with.
