I have an old set of carbon wings lying around that I want to get a mould off. Got a idea for a DS plank. Using half of the wing. Has that been tryed before? Fairly fast airfoil, tips are skinny as.
Would any wax do to fill the hing lines. I've got the mould release wax. I might try it first .
Cheers Astan

What is the wing off and do you know the airfoil? It might save you alot of time for nothing.

Yes Astan, it would be worth checking the foil. There are special foils for planks. If the original plane had a tail then the wing probably wouldn't work as a plank.

why because of reflex. It's my Erwin wing. I still think it will make a good DSer. Just add reflex. Astan

It wont work as a plank, it will be the wrong foil. It's been tried before and failed. I you have a good wing for an Erwin? than make or find another fuse for it, it will fly much better.

Dont give up. If you want to make your own DS plank use the PW51 foil and bag your wings. Or buy a Zipper.
