I finally got a chance to try my Alula Evo in the right conditions today and I must say, I'm a *very* happy camper! I've had a couple of sessions of hand launching it on the flat, but my original intention was to use this as a light wind sloper. This afternoon I got the perfect conditions for that and I must say, I'm absolutely chuffed ;D My session only ended when it got too dark to see, but leading up to that I had the sun setting behind me, the moon sitting just above the horizon and a couple of eagles hanging with me as I hovered above the trees I only wish I had a camera.....it would have been a perfect picture!

Yeah it's times like that that really make you enjoy the simple things about this hobby, well done.
The eagles always make me nervous though..............................

The eagles always make me nervous though..... Actually, the magpies have done way more damage so far. They're nesting in a tree on the vacant block next door to my house. I tried throwing the Alula there on the weekend and they went berserk!! I've got scratches and actual punctures in the foam from them attacking it

mine is so trashed now regards nick I bet Dale's is more trashed than yours ;D It's 2 days old and has already had the nose broken off 3 times, the tail broken, one wing cracked and the leading edges of both wings look like the shins of a Muay Thai fighter!

We got away in a nice thermal early this morning in the park. Unfortunately I had to open the shop, so didn't get back down there when it would have been really crankin'. Still, we went sloping them instead, which they're simply awesome for!

Well , I got a chance to fly the Alula on Sunday.(Before the Heli's i might add).
From the first throw all i can say is that the Alula is an exceptional product. Built following the instructions and careful with the CG and 'Presto', instant Fun!
Will take it up to BESS (Woodgate) this weekend for some sloping.(I hope). (No slopes near Pittsworth).
Thanks to Brenton (Bundaberg Hobby World) for the prompt dispatch etc.
Kind Regards,
Mike.
