Hi guys,
please take this one to heart, and tell everyone you know who flies at Brandenburg Rd on the Sunshine Coast even occasionally.
A group of us were there today in good conditions and the owner and his wife rolled up in their ute. I said G'day can I help you and she said they want to run cattle on the block and the cars are preventing the grass from growing as well as it might. He said he doesn't mind us flying there but can we please park along the road and not on the block itself. I said sure of course, we aren't there to do the wrong thing and we're more than happy to do the right thing.
So we moved all our cars, and in fact most of us went to Gerard's lookout for a fly.
So this can get us banned from Brandenburg Rd. Please be sure not to park on the block at all, and tell everyone you know or you find at Brandenburg Rd to do likewise. If anyone objects just tell them the owner will ban flying there if he finds a car parked, so it's in everyone's best interest to park beside the road. There's plenty of room and it's only a few paces extra, so there really isn't any detriment in it.
Go Great and enjoy your flying!
Ken.

No worries Ken. When I was with the club many years ago we never in that paddock. We always parked on the road and just walked up higher, so to me, parking in the paddock is a new thing. Can't blame the owners really.
