Yeah it's been upgraded to Cat 5 tonight. Glad I'm not one of the few locals in that remote area! Can you imagine the hype if that cyclone was crossing FNQ at Port Douglas or somewhere?

yeh scarey hey the lady i was detecting with, well her brother lives at Karatha just down the coast, there has been lots of phone calls lately. very isolated up there, just lots of bush. BTW i found just over two ounces

That is BS Nick, next time you go Let me know and I will come with I have a bounty hunter quick draw ii i go panning in Gympie but never find anything substantial kinda off putting considering it costs me more in fuel to get there and back than i would ever find, maybe...

by the way, i would fly in them winds, just got to strap a few bricks to the f20 and it would fly nicely , or maybe just a brick with some control surfaces...
