Hi all. This is my first post to the forums but have been reading them for months now. I live at Regents Park in South Brisbane and was wondering if there is any other pilots flying close by. If so where do you fly and also where would be the closest place to go to do a bit of sloping without having to travel too far. I fly Electric now at our local parks most weekends and would love to have some company so thought i would put up this post and see how it goes.

Hi mate, thanks for coming on board - we're always keen to see another sloper. It's not the best time at the moment with not much suitable wind, very hot, everyone's busy etc. But when the easterlies kick in you'll see the forum suddenly light up with action!
At the moment, if the wind's NE the usual spot is Shorncliffe, and you'll find guys there late any arvo that the wind is good (ENE is perfect, N doesn't work).
If you want to travel to a bigger site, about the only spot that works in a NE is Brandenburg Rd at Maleny. There will usually be a few guys there on Sat and Sun arvos if the wind's between NW and NE.
When the wind goes more reliably east to SE, there will be lots more sloping at Mt Mee, Bald Knob, and a few other spots.

Thanks for that. I will take a drive sometime and take a look at those spots.
