What a crappy weather forecast on Seabreeze for the next week! The BOM forecasts look a bit more promising, particularly with the SE change due to blow thru tomorrow morning ... but will it be another fizzer?

I would say a fizzer Andrew unfortunately. A lot of them have been stalling at the border or further south. I'm sure you know this though, we live in hope.
Nigel.

Ah, Nige the well-known DS personality! Good to hear from you!
Reckon I might head over to SC for a while to Vector around in the NE. However it might be a short foray - the radar shows storms heading across.

Just back for a visit to my roots and to where it all started. Can't say I'm a snob now that I'm famous. Nigel.

Haha! very clever.
Hey we'll have to have a Nige feature on Windsock soon. I'll get our people to call your people and see if they can tee something up.
(sorry folks, this is a reference to Nige's newfound profile on the RCG DS forum since he's now successfully "cut some laps" and distinguished himself as a true DS personality by having a mid-air with Astan's Reaper. A good bit of credibility-building carnage!)

Yep happy New Year from me too.
Great to hear the flying's been good at SC Steve. Wind direction has looked really good.
There's a new guy Danny who re-maidened his refurbished old slope racer at SC recently - he's been in touch with me. Has anyone seen him over there? Sounds like he's done quite a lot of sloping years ago, been into helis recently, keen to get back into sloping.
Anyone interested in trying some F3F at Maleny if the wind's good in the next few days??? I'm keen.

He ran for me in scramble at the Toowoomba nats, which was at least 10 years ago

The SE change is on the way - should be here in a couple of hours.
I'd like to try DSing the Camel Hump later this arvo (or tomorrow morning) as we haven't had a chance to see if it works since they put the road in and carved up the ridge. Might be looking for someone to hold the gun.

A little belated but the flying was awesome at Point Cartwright. Met a nice fella down there his name, Norm from brisbane so you guys down that way will have another fella flying with you soon, he said he has a few fiberglass birds so the strawberry farm might be getting even more appearances The wind was around 30 knts and at times I would think it got to around 35. The Falcon performer awesomely considering the servos in the wing dislodged and every time I did an aggressive left roll the ailerons would stick and the plane would continue to want to roll left! We then made our way up to buderim to meet up with Rob and tried to fly but there were to many rotors, to tried to teach my girl and rob to fly on the falcon, didn't that end up in... red dirt, the whole front of the plane was covered in red mud from being drove over and over into the ground, every time it happened my face must have looked like i had been eating lemons. but they were learning so it is all good. overall a good day. Have fun fellas.
