I've made my self a plank (well two actually) it flies front side well enough all your basic manoeuvres inverted quite nicely, now I need to ds it( :)well some one does as i have no idea). So any one who can ds well I would be willing to let have a go if anyone is interested ;D ;D. I would post pics but can't figure how to on this web site.

Hi sf2,
if you can fly frontside you can fly DS. All you'll need is a suitable plane (it's hard with a combat wing but do-able) and someone to show you the ropes.
Where do you usually fly?

I'm down on th goldie so my options are limited to tamborine or beechmont which I gaher is behind the tree line, altho, should they finish hinze dam a northly up the face might work. It's not a combat wing its plank I made (see plank pics in the market) or a GV48 which funnily enough is a 48" V tail.hope that helps.

in which case all I need is to wait for a northerly, I'll try the gv48 and see how I go,(always wondered if it would work front side, nige mentioned it would) let you know, am on hols shortly so should be good. sf2

sf2,
if you have transport then there are sites for DS in Westerly, Southerly, SE and Easterly winds at Bald Knob near Maleny. It's a club site however guests are welcome - just call Greg Roper the club pres first. If you PM me I'll give you his and my phone no.
I mention Bald Knob because any Sunday the wind is blowing in any of the above directions you'll very likely find someone DS'ing there who'll be happy to show you the ropes. It may be worth the travel for 1 or 2 visits.
Ken.
