Try Pming Bananaman (Brian). At Lismore he was telling me about a place at Brendale that sells really great rubber tube, top quality that can stretch to 8 times!!! I think it comes in different thicknesses - not sure. He said he would pass on the details, so get him to post them here.
Also Southern Sailplanes down south is well known for selling surgical tubing.
Paul (Slopefun) had a 25ft bit he was selling too. I was going to buy it but if you get it that's fine, I'm easy.

Lots of places in Australia to get surgical latex tubing. What size are you after?
I use 6mm OD for light 1.5m gliders, 8mm for larger gliders and 10mm for 3m models.
If you get it from a hooby store they charge heaps. Get it from a medical supplier and its about half the price.

I got some from the states, of ebay, there is nothing there at present. Dave@ RCsailplane has some, but like you said, a bit expensive.

Thanks for reminding me Andrew, I gave you a bum steer, it stretches 300% not 800. Sorry. This is the product Theraband. It is made from latex. The supplier is at Brendale. I've used the black before, doubled for catapault launching and it would probably be good for a 2m model. I use the Silver now. If I want even more oomphh, I double it, that will easily launch my 3m mouldies. Size: 100ft/30.5m Strength: Extra Extra Extra Heavy Colour: Silver Approximate Measurements External Diameter 10mm Wall thickness 2mm www.physiosupplies.com.au/acatalog/Exercise_Tubing_XXXHeavy_x_100ft_30m.html They didn't have the gold one (strongest) when I went last time. Brian, when you say double it I'm assuming your using 2 x 30' lenghts, not just folding 1 x 30' lenght in half?

Thanks all for the replies….
Laanguy I think 6mm would be perfect for what I need, do you know of any medical suppliers in/around Brisbane?

You could have a go here: www.aerofoam.com/hosemonster.htmlHe does pretty much everything and his latex is both top quality and UV-stabilised for long life. I'm pretty sure this is where Sean got his rocket-launcher insane amazing zip start from. I am looking at buying a high-start from him so if anyone wants to share shipping please let me know. Ken.
