Hi all, I am the proud and very scared owner of a Destiny. A kind gift from Ezza. It is so fast I need to put flaps on it and I was wondering the best way to hinge them. I will be cutting them out of the wings and putting torsion rods in them, basicly copying the ailerons construction but it is just the process of what hinge material ( carbon/kevlar or glass)to use and what adhesive or resin?. Thanks Nigel

Mate I'd seriously consider using RTV silicon. So easy, works great. But I'm no expert - others may have a better opinion.

Thanks Andrew but what is RTV silicone? anything like normal acetic or neutral cure silicone? and is it as simple as say masking top of hinge where it is seen and needs to be neet then putting silicone on bottom?

Nigel Its a glass silicone, just sticks better than the normal stuff. If you swing into bunnings, just look for one that is glass specific. I've also used magic tape and silicone togehter, sometime the silicone joint is too stiff, so i cut small parts of it away, the magic tape stop air leaks.
