I want to make up some control horns for my dlg. Where can I get some plain circuit board material, pref without holes & the conductive grid on it? I have tried the usual places without success.

I buy plain single sided PCB from Jaycar or thingy Smith. Copper on one side but I sit it in a bowl and put a bit of battery acid on it o/night to eat the copper (take appropriate care). Rinse with water and you have enough for lots of horns. If they don't have it Prime Electronics Bowen Hills should.
Edit : Testing, testing - thingy Smith Edit#2 Well crikey, I can't spell D. I. C. K. without it being turned into "thingy" ...."ken hilarious ;D ;D

Yes I know I'm funny, but 'hilarious' is really a bit much . Not wanting to play with battery acid I just sand the copper off. Works for me. Ken.

I went back to Di*k Smith & Jaycar today, all there boards have small holes in them, proberbly doesn't matter but I'd prefer it to be solid. I'll keep looking.

Mark, I got mine at D*ck Smith at Kippa Ring- had quite a few varieties with no holes. I got the copper on one side and just sanded it off. I think it was about $6 a piece, about 1.5 times as big as a cigarette packet. Works great - glued it with 5 minute.
If you're coming past, grab mine and hack some off it.
P.S. - Been using the new welder - mate, it's great, thanks! Broke the first thin cutter disk in 10 secs & realized you can't put any flex on them.
