Hi guys, I use and recommend the Multiplex Coc-kpit SX transmitter because it is the easiest radio to program and use I've ever seen (so you can actually use its features to help you fly and land better) and particularly because it has all the mixers you need for 4 servo wings, so you can build your gliders with full-on crow brakes so you can land safely pretty much anywhere. Here is a link to a December special on these radios: www.flyelectric.com/specials.html He says stock is limited. If you are into gliders I cannot recommend strongly enough that you get a radio that does crow braking. Go Great! Ken

That looks great. My only concern is how will changing over from JR stuff affect me? EG can I still use ordinary receivers? Can I buddy-cord with a JR as slave? Any other things that will be glaringly different from JR (other than the programming - I can get used to that)?

I really strongly recommend this radio too. I love mine - and the programming is so easy. Pij, I'm pretty sure that you couldn't buddy it to a JR.

What receivers will this Tx work with?

It is a 36MHz synthesised transmitter so it will work with any 36MHz receiver that uses PPM. That is, any receiver that isn't PCM.
You may have to change servo plugs to different channels in your receiver when you first set up your existing planes, but that's about all.
You cannot directly use a JR as a slave Tx for training. There may be a way to do this using an adaptor box between the 2 Tx'es but it would probably be easier to get an old Multiplex Tx cheap to use as a buddy box. For instance I use my old Cockpit MM and it works perfectly.
Ken.

Thanks for that, Ken. I really like the sound of this one.

I'm sending payment for mine tomorrow. Peter Pine contacted me to remind me he has plenty of customers wanting one, so I needed to take action to secure mine. Better be quick if you want one! I was a bit concerned when I read of the recall notice on these, the MPX thingypit (Côckpit) SX's from up to May 2008. I certainly hope these are dated after that date. www.multiplex-rc.de/cms/vorschau/upload/startseite/rueckrufinfo_080606.pdf
