S&B are well known for warbird slopers. These guys are located somewhere around here. I haven't seen them for a while but they used to turn up at WPt and SC. www.sbrcmodels.com/store/agora.cgi?currency=currency2A friend of mine had the Mustang and it was a great flyer - he beat the crepe out of it and it just kept going.

Just made a post about the Komet from S&B: windsock.proboards76.com/index.cgi?board=chat&action=display&thread=765I've flown my Komet as a slope glider (without motor or large batteries) and it wasn't bad. I have also flown the Komet with motor & batteries installed off SC and it glided on a 15-20knt day. I have seen Dave from S&B fly a warbird or two at SC. They look great but with no power they aren't the most aerobatic planes around for SC, would be better with more lift & sky to work with. However stick a motor in it and it's a different story. I wouldn't trade my Komet, infact bought a another second hand one this week

I like the Mig Paul, looks pretty cool That's the thing about warbirds, they look so cool when they are flying. Have you flown the Mig yet, what's it like? I just checked the S&B site and it doesn't look like they make it any more Gerard

they do look nice flying around. they must be a lot harder to shape as they are rather pricey comparedto say a bee. Will have to see if i can find a second hand one far sale.

I agree, they are more expensive but I guess there is more to cutting a warbird. I know this to be true for the Komet. You can see all the different sections that have been glued together to form the fuselage. Hope you find one, try to get one in EPP.

i had an AirMacchi slope glider... only ever found 1 decent site to fly it near where i'm living now. great fun, but i found mine needed loads of lift and a good stiff breeze 10 - 15kts min. i flew it at SC on one rare occasion of 20kt winds, but found the roll rate and body producted too much drag. few sites i know of for war planes are. www.tuffplanes.com/ - not sure whats going on with these guys anymore. and you could also try Canterbury Sailplanes. google seach will bring up the homepage, or go to www.modelflight.com.authey look awesome in the air though.

Hey Everyone Its been a while since I have seen alot of you, but I have been Hastling Geoff From S&B Models about making a full EPP Komet, not to mention i have been waiting 7 months for the EPP wing but Geoff said they have made a few so if you want one just send him an email. The new EPP wings have the spars installed, just like the composite wings have the shear web installed, im not sure about the spar setup yet as I havent had a chance to get mine yet. But I agree with Gerard they are a great plane to fly as I have a standard Komet with a Brushless setup and it goes like a rocket and the full epp will be alot tougher for Combat.
Cheers Matt
