I know it's a long shot buuuut this afternoon i went to fly my weasel off of pt cartwright and it was a tad windy! so over the back of the carpark it went!  just thought i'd see if anyone goes up there at all to keep an eye out. it's white with a bit of orange striping on the wings thanks in advance from planeless jake  |

that's bad luck mate but got an idea....
not sure where where point cartwright is but could always go hire an ultralight for half an hour and overfly the area with a good set of binoculars-used to get a bit of work looking for parachutes,stolen cars and the odd model plane at caboolture with pretty good results at low altitudes.just make sure it's when the sun is at it's highest though where things are less likely to be in the shade.just an idea and in worst case you don't find your model you still gotta good story at the end ;D

Sorry to hear about the weasel. I was there on Sunday. The wind was pretty high, it was nearly to much for my Bee, had a great day. Funny thing was i flew for about half hour and then landed, as soon as i turned back there was at least 20 people watching and they where eager to as questions. It took me half hour to get through them...  I hope you find your weasel mate, good luck. I maybe going there again in a fortnight or so, ill tell you if i find it. |

Hey Jake, I was at Pt Cartwright today and had a bit of a look over behind the carpark to see if I could spot your Weasel, no joy unfortunately. Only looked very briefly 'cause I wasn't sure where to look. It was VERY windy though! If it landed in a tree the other day there's a good chance the wind would have brought it down, might be worth another look...

thanks for having a look sean! I've been up there almost every afternoon this week but no luck. I think someone may have picked it up. i haven't seen any of the other guys that were up there on monday so my hopes are still high!
