It was good to meet some other slope flyers on the weekend and have a fly. Thanks to all for making me and my wife feel at home. I had a good fly with my PC9 but my wing is in for a rebuild as it didn't perform in the gusts. Great to see some other designs and types of flying styles(I refer to andrew DS'ing and keeping everyone on their toes) On Sunday we went to Rosin's Lookout, Via Mt Tambourine and O,Rieleys guest House ( a long way round and a 50km winding dead end) Anyway had about half an hour of great lift in the clouds that were coming up the mountain and what felt like sleet hitting my face. Met another flyer I think called Ian I think, and family. He was flying a JW and a moulded plane and doing the biggest loops ever seen and his son was flying a wing at speed. A good weekend and I will see you guys again. The wife wants to go back to Rosins on a sunny day so I will post when to see if I can get any more takers. Great to meet you Nige! Loved that little micro - thingy plane you had. You should put a bit of info about that in our Planes section ... looks like it would be a good option for someone looking for something like an Alula. Cheers Andrew

Those are some pretty good heights in the photos. Was it windy? Can't really tell from the photos, but when it was windy up here on the weekend, it was also cloudy/rainy.
Or does SC usually give those sort of heights?

DC normally does give those hieghts and then some with 15knts at the right angle.that day was very windy but slightly too far southerly to be smooth.
