hi every1.....
i was wondering if anyone would like to get into 3D aerobatics for indoor flight.....it is really cheap and easy to fly ;D even if you get a indoor trainer or an indoor plane or something like that you will be able to come and fly....
the only thing that i am waiting on is the principle to approve it so that we can fly in the multi at school (it is a big indoor basketball court and would be ideal for indoor flight)
i go to Morayfeild high school so it will be held there.......anyone wanna have a go ;D

We have indoor flying one night a month at a highschool hall here in Bundy. Apparently is is fairly popular, on and off. I've never been, but I'd like to go and watch, maybe get involved. Have a long-time project with my son, building our own multi-purpose flyer, with indoor as one of its purposes.

Jirvin was saying today that tonight (one Sat night per month) they have indoor electrics at Lawnton. But I think they're smaller slow planes.

Those depron planes probably aren't the best thing to learn 3D with. They break VERY easily. I had a flat outs cap 580 that I threw away because it was so flimsy and kept breaking. EPP planes are so much better to learn with. I fly a foamworks Frakar and it's great. I have heard that the Canterbury Sailplanes Joker is one of the best 3D foamies to learn on. It's apparently a lot more flexible than the Frakar.
My favourite 3D foamie is my Hyperion Sniper with a PA Thrust 20 brushless. That thing seriously hovers on 1/3 throttle. Too big for indoor though (for an amateur like me anyway!).

It's an excellent night. I've flown in there. It's amazing how quickly the walls come up with a performance plane. I'm not sure if you'd need to be a MAAA Member though.

Unfortunately I haven't got any vids of the Sniper in action. Admittedly that motor is a bit of an overkill but it's serious fun.
Good luck with the indoor 3D. I tried getting into it last year. I used to fly inside a container ship. The props would always smash on the metal deck (I used a prop saver too!) and it got a bit expensive. Only outdoor stuff for me now!

Maybe visit the local RC fields on a flying day, hand out some papers (fliers? flyers?). Also, perhaps visit the other indoor flying venues.
How about posting on RCGroups? Other forums?
Try talking to some people who race electric RC cars - they might like to try something new.
Noticeboards? You'll need an eye-catching poster.

I don't know about your area. Can you get in touch somehow with the Lawnton group? They might be able to help. You'd think there would be some kind of indoor flyer network, wouldn't you?
