Mark yes this was largely the inspiration for getting my Fazer! I read what Ian (Daemon) said about it and watched the videos. Ian is right up in the slope/ DS world over in the US, a very analytical sort of guy. On RCG he's said many times that his Fazer has done more DS miles than any of his other planes and he loves flying it in mild conditions, more than almost anything else. DS isn't just about speed ... it's such an awesome thing to be able to cross that layer and see the acceleration, and use it to flip around with some aerobatics then dive back in for another kick.
However his is the F3J version (all glass) whereas mine is is the F3B version which was the only one imported into Oz, apparently because we do harder winch launches over here than they do in Europe or the US.

That is pretty much the best slope video I've ever seen! Beautiful flying. I don't think the guy on camera was used to watching/filming high performance gliders though .
