haha now that is very cool! just showed the better half too......first time she has shown any real interest in flying other then the odd vacant look and an unenthusiastic "wow".
remember seeing another one of indoor rc trucks that flew too which was another good one.
anyone else got some oddball vids?

That's an airshow plane. It's the sort of thing you make for a laugh but probably don't want to fly all the time... One of the guys used to release a foam space shuttle off the top of his "jumbo" at every airshow. Sure enough, the week before each airshow he'd bring it out and look for someone to fly it. Depending on the CG it either spun uncontrollably like a top from release until it hit the ground. Move the cg forward about 1cm and it would jump off the top of the jumbo and plunge vertically toward the earth. If you were luck and pulled the stick back at the right time it would level briefly before putting it's nose down and lunging again. If you pulled back at the right time you were said to have "landed". It was like autoing a chopper. I think I flew it once where it was semi-flyable but that was about it! |
