I'm sure some of the guys on RCG would help if you put the call out.

Hey Jeff is there any issue with hobnobs like me and Sean turning up without winches? Will there be enough? Do they normally expect competitors to supply winches?
In an effort to bring something very similar I'd bring some wenches but can't seem to get my hands on any of those either.

Hey Jeff is there any issue with hobnobs like me and Sean turning up without winches? >>>More hobnobs the better >>>Happy to have you competing with us. Some of us will have 2 winch's. I think MRSSA has a spare winch. Brian has a couple - suire think ther will be enough. Mind you if in 10 years time you are still turning up without a winch we will have to help you make one. The thing to consider is being carefull with winch line. This is one of the expenses of the comp. Will there be enough? Do they normally expect competitors to supply winches? In an effort to bring something very similar I'd bring some wenches but can't seem to get my hands on any of those either. >> Now come on Andrew I'm sure if you reponded to DS Fling you'd have wench's to spare...

Actually I used that word without thinking. Darn. It's actually a verb, e.g. "hobnobbing with the rich and famous" - it means to associate familiarly. So I guess rather than hobnobs we could be hobnobbers. Sean and I are going to Lismore to hobnob with the thermal chaps, or something like that.

Does that make the thermal guys 'hobnobees'?
