Zipper (Glenn) is making me up a new wing. Bagged carbon/glass over blue foam, painted on top, plain carbon underneath. It'll be a bit heavier than the old Minij wing but one piece and much stronger, with spruce leading edge. Cost $200. I'll repair the fuse and bolt the wing on the same way, and won't have much work to do to get it into the air. Very happy with this outcome. I'll be able to leave the servo and linkage setup as-is. I'll keep you posted and put up some pics when I get it.

Awesome, she lives again. A little heavier won't hurt, still should fly well.

What about the ease-of-putting-it-in-the-car factor?

Callun, it will be the same as before - fits straight into the car with no dismantling. That's the great thing about a 60". (but I have a wagon. Harder with a sedan. Sean lowers his seats flat and fits his Bird into his Liberty sedan in one piece).
