Has anyone flown the headland at Coolum Beach Park. I think the headland has a name but I cannot remember it. Google maps shows it as Coolum Beach park. The Headland faces NE and rises about 40-50' at about 70 degrees. The foot of the cliff is 20' wide rough rock into the ocean. You can access it but not directly. The LA is limited with a thin grassy strip behind a pavillion before trees. There are usually lots of people around.
I was there on saturday when it was about 10 knots NE and looked flyable but I piked mostly because I didn't want to look like an appendage in front of lots of people if it didn't work out.
Does anyone have experience with this site?
Steve

Just remember that if you're going to hit a bystander on landing, make sure you do a proper job of it so they can't testify against you!

I go regularilly for weekend getaways to those hotels nearby and always bring my Bee along with me to fly over there. When the wind is up, the lift is pumping. If you walk up the pathway there which leads up into the bush along the cliff face, there are higher and better spots to fly. Just keep in mind there aren't always good landing areas around.
