The Administrators of Windsock have placed a ban on mid-week flying reports following a recent spate of depression in mid week workers.
Dr Stephen Cousins reportedly sits and stares at the large eucalyt outside his office while hundreds of flu ridden souls cough all over him. Dr Cousins is at a loss to explain the steady breezes that fan the tree during the week but leave it limp and sad on weekends.
Your consideration of this request is appreciated.
Steve

sincerely sorry to hear about your depression, that is very sad........so i will be considerate by not telling you all about the 3-4hrs of flat field flying in thermal rich conditions followed by a late afternoon slope soaring experience all done over pituresque moreton bay i have planned for today. take care and keep your chin up. i'm sure with a little help from your friends here at windsock you will pull through your depression *i'll just sit and have a chuckle now*

Steve That's horrible to hear. Why don't you go out and have a fly on this Ekka Holiday as I am planning to do that would cheer you up

Yes, for those who live far enough south, have SW facing slopes, and aren't otherwise busy on the weekend.
Now I'm feeling really down, Doctor.

sorry Steve. I'm the biggest offender. Personally I think the cure for depression in mid week workers is to drop the work and go flying. Hey if you got those flu-ridden patients out flying too maybe they'd be healthier too! (Steve's R/C Slope Flying Therapy Clinic).
What's really depressing is going flying mid-week, walking back into the office and finding that the "to-do" list is still there and is getting bigger. It makes me so depressed that I have to go flying again to feel better ... so you can see the vicious circle goes on and on until you're a plane-crazed lunatic, constantly looking skywards, flicking from spreadsheets to Seabreeze every 59 seconds and muttering gibberish through the peanut paste and toast crumbs. Like me.

Steve I seem to find to beat those cravings is to use SSS and abuse those that can get out. ;-P Sitting here now, outside looks awesome, i can picture my thermaller turning slowly in the blue sky. mmmm, i wonder if the boss would let me fly off the top of the building at lunch. lol

Steve if it's any consolation, to pay for my indulgences I've been working since early and will have to stay up late getting 2 applications ready to submit by first thing in the morning. My new Nemesis has arrived and I don't even have time to have a decent look at it!!

You own your lunchbreak, and nobody owns the sky. Your boss may own the rooftop, but he can go jump...
