Hi everyone, just wanted to make everyone aware of the Electric Rally on the 28th of September at the MRSSA field. Its my first time entering a competition outside of my club, it should be interesting and fun.
Maybe a member or Jeff can give us an insight of what to expect that day?
Hope to see you all there, Abdullah...

Hi Abdullah, I went last year. It's not a comp really, more a gathering of the similarly-obsessed . They may do a very laid-back event of some kind but it's all in fun. I'm sure you'll have a great day if you go. BTW, how's the big Reaper going? Has it maidened? Ken.

Ken, ill surely try my best to be there.
About the Reaper, i did maiden it in very low winds so i really couldnt put it through its paces. I was basically trying to keep it in the air.
Ill do a full report next time i go flying...

Also open Electric per the Armidale rules see Peter Pines web site (see flyelectric.com) The comps will be more about having ago than winning sheep stations - hey i'm organising it and that will be my policy Been working in the shed developing the secret weapon - gotta do something to stop Shane (playininthepark) thrashing me again. cheers jeff

It was a great day yesterday. It was nice to meet Jeff and Shane, its nice to put a face on those we talk on the net.
The competitions were great fun and we got to see different types of models compete with different experience levels. Its always fun watching people trying to land on the spot.
Shane did some great flying coming 1st in both open class and LEG competitions.
Competitions really put a purpose in flying, so we should have more of them.
There was a few of us from the Bayside (RAMS) which attended yesterday. We really felt welcome and look forward to more meetings in the future. Hopefully next time we can have competitions at our home field so you guys can come over and visit us.
Till next time, Abdullah...
