Had fun at the toowoomba aerotow, the thermals out that way are awesome, wish i had a plane there. Caught up with a few faces, and spoke with james from lismore, he had the ASH26. Pics here @ www.silentwings.com.auCheers S Sorry its in the other toowoomba post as well, oops

I've had some total laughs doing aerotows for club displays. With a bit of practice we got it sorted, but the initial attempts were very very dangerous. One time the rope got caught around the glider, and as it was early days we didn't have a release on the towplane (my Dads trainer than I had commandeered). It ended up that the glider developed this weird spiral thing and the towplane got lowered onto the ground nose first. I think it only had minor damage. You could never ever do it again....
