anyone interested in buying some EPP foam... i finally found a supplier overseas who appears preety cheap.
postage costs about US$25 / package and sheets of 1.9lb 24"x18"x30cm ends up being about AU$22 each / sheet.

jase there shoud be a supplier here in brisy, i used to live next door to a guy that made the stuff. they made epp blocks for pontoons . also alans dad used epp for his work and he bought it off a supplier in crestmead. the places that have the chemicals to make normal polystireen usually produce limited amounts of epp and other foams depending on the demand, what are you planing on doing cutting your own wings ... it dosnt seem right getting epp blolcks from other shores

yeah. i've just been unsuccessful in locating local suppliers. only advantage from sourcing from the US is so far prices have been cheaper even if you include the postage charges.

there are plenty around you just need to know where to look. these days with the drought and the need for floating slabs or foam slabs for housing becoming more popular

I did the rearch thing on EPP a while back and suppliers told me it was a chemical in the EPP that limited production. I reckon that was a load of crap and it was just a way to get rid of me. lol
There was one down at Carol Park as well. But that was some time ago. Happy hunting!

i was told of a place called Diamond Foam on Robinson Rd , Geebung.. they allow the public to walk in and they have a huge range of foam....... apparently.
i was actually talking to an Upholster today about it, but he wasn't sure if they had the foam i was after.

There's a Diamond Foam (I believe) on Stafford Road too, which I tried, and they didn't have any.

The one I'm thinking of is Dimension. We have used them heaps and I threw their card out just the other day. I doubt they would have it in stock but maybe they can order it.
