i was looking at getting the High Aspect from arthobby....I have done some reserch on rcgroups and i have found something interesting......the plane will not withstand a winch launch unless i do some mods to it...... What would be your sudgestion on improving the wind desing to strenghten it up to withstand the winch launch........i was thinking of just putting in some carbon fibre rods in it or something like that Now what i have read on the rcgroups is that i would need to strenghten up the middle peice of the wing where you have to fibreglass the middle together.....that is where i am guessing most of the strain of the forces would be put on What would you guys think that i might be able to do to make it alot stronger to withstand a winch launch Regards, Chris ;D

Chris Pretty much anything will run up a winch, its how gentle you are on the pedal that has the impact. The stress will start at the weakest point, if you can identify with other owners where this may be it will give you a good start. I used to winch an old aeroflyte brolga with balsa spars. It handles it fine until i got carried away as a throttle jockey ;-)
Any reason why you are going with a high aspect rather than another glider that is a bit stronger?
