My 12yo son was pretty much decided on a Multiplex Easyglider Electric. I thought it was pretty good option. Now I find out he's been re-considering, heavily influenced by my enthusiasm for the slope. He's now thinking he'd like something particularly suited to slope gliding, like my Duck. So I decided to show him some of the options, and explain what I saw as the strengths and weaknesses of each. I showed him the Red Herring, and showed him the tip-launch video. He loved the Red Herring. www.liftworx.com/herring/I showed him the Bee and Bevo. He loved them. I showed him the Windrider Fox. He was impressed. I showed him the other Windrider products, www.windrider.com.hk/product.asp?page=1&id=118 and talked about their applicability. He was impressed by their prices. He seems settled on my personal choice, the Easy Pro. Maybe we might each get one, or maybe the bulk price, a set of 3. Or maybe there's something else I should have shown him. The Easy Pro seems to win on points, so far: Moulded EPP, low price, easy build, low-lift flying ( I think), add a hook for flying-field flying, aileron trainer, can convert to electric in the future if you choose. Also, importantly, he can fly it on his non-programmable 4ch radio without an on-board mixer. Have I missed any other obvious choices?
