I guess we all love the buzz of a maiden flight and surviving it! Looking forward to flying, tuning, and improving our RC sailplanes and gliders on the back of what we learn and stuff we share with others, but real knowledge comes from hard experience hey? My most recent project is converting a small rubber powered war bird into an indoor RC flyer- it's a bit of a story; Getting there slowly. Most recent build and then flown is a Swift from falcon, needs some work, flies like buggery, and will end up that way too no doubt, it's that kind of plane. With some work though It's going to go well, into a backside somewhere I'm sure eventually; The pic above of the suspended V2 gives an impression of its flight attitude out of the box, tail up! A shim under the TE cures it, even better I am working on a wing form fitted wedge thingy between the wing and fuse saddle, not certain yet on its thickness. The builders of the mother mould made a slight stuff up, or didn't appreciate the real nature of an RG15 airfoil perhaps, being a total aerodynamic amatuer I'm not sure at all. Still it's is a combo that seems to work, with some work and suitable flying conditions- LOTS OF IT. At present I am chucking a very little EPP $20 free flight glider around the house at people, who are returning my fire.
