Read through the links you listed, even more keen to give it a shot and have been offered a copy of the dvd you mentioned. Had a go at balsa, foam, tape, paper and who knows what else and bagging really seems the way to go. Doesn’t seem like a real complex process and the results are definitely worth it. I’m a tinkerer at heart so will be great for my own “pigs that fly” lol.
The eagle wings I won’t be building for a DLG,want to put it together as a step up from the foamies for quick frontside, highstarts and some DS when I get slot more experience with the bee. Anyone here know if bagging EPP is possible?
Well count me in jirvin ;D

Hey Felix, glad to hear you're keen also . I have heard of people bagging EPP, but not sure if it ever works very well - unlike rigid blue or white foam the squishy EPP won't make a very effective web between the glass skins. Maybe if you put a full-depth spar in? Might work but if you could start with rigid foam cores you'd be sure of good results.

hey sean, i gave Jane a rough sketch of a wing that i designed today to give to Jeff to have a look at ;D it is a really nice wing and is still in developing stage but it looks nice, i think so anyway ;D What sort of wing profile would you say would be good for Dsing and general aerobatics, something like wat your Erwin can do Now i know nothing about all that stuff so yer..... Regards, Chris ;D

Guys, I ordered the DVD from the states about a week ago, happy to let people"borrow" it to watch!! I'd be dead keen to see the process as well, I'm currently doing my home work for composite wings for a scalie. I've sort of looked at it before, but would love to see it happen by someone who knows what there doing. Can someone PM with dates/addresses and phone numbers? Cheers S

Jeff, Thanks for a awesome lesson on the vac bagging last night, I think I can speak for Felix as well that we both got a lot out of it. I have a few ideas that have been floating around my head, but first is first, the ASW and ASH wings. Oh, and one small comment about Jeff's shed, i think he needs more planes. Steve

Jeff I’ll back steve’s thanks with my own. Absolutely unreal lessons learnt and I am chaffing at the bit to learn foam carving so I can get started! ;D
To see how easy it really is against the strength and smoothness (oh and sexiness of course) I’m certain I’ll end up with a bunch of rocketship composites. I’ll never look at a foamy the same way, spent hours getting a smooth finish on the bee that couldn’t match the worse bagging finish lol.
As for jeffs shed? Well truly amazing and I think a shrink would be at a loss to beat his obsession (or my jealousy). Hundreds of planes in the rafters and enough materials stacked to double that number!!! During the whole bagging procedure I think we spent half that time staring around the shed and talking about the planes and generally having having a laugh. Top night!
Once again a big thanks jeff.
Btw how exactly did those wings turn out?
